CIPET ADMISSION 2018-2019

A computer Based Test for Admission to Diploma, Post Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma Courses of CIPET for the Academic Year 2018-19.

Admission Regulations for CIPET Diploma Programs:

1. For all Post Graduate Diploma, Post Diploma & Diploma courses, selection will be based on the performance in the CIPET JEE 2018, which will be conducted on 1st July 2018.

2. CIPET follows reservation for SC/ST, OBC (NCL) candidates and physically challenged (handicapped) candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

Minimum age for Diploma (DPT, DPMT) courses shall be 15 years as on July 31, 2018. Candidates born on August 1, 2003 or thereafter are not eligible to apply.

3. In the case of PGD-PPT & PGD-PTQC courses, 2 years Degree course (10+2+2) will not be considered as appropriate entry qualification and hence such candidates need not apply.

4. Candidates who have appeared for the entry qualification examination, can also apply. Their admission is subject to successful passing of the entry qualifications examination. Eight weeks’ time after JEE will be given for submission of entry qualification documents failing which the admission is liable to be cancelled.

5. Limited hostel accommodation is available. Allotment of hostel accommodation is on need basis and availability. However, CIPET facilitates all the admitted students in getting accommodation.

6. No request for change of centre allotted for admission will be entertained during the course of study.

7. Provisional selection will be cancelled for the candidate not accepting the allotment of admission on or before the date specified in the call letter and the waitlist will be operated to fill the vacancies.

Entry qualification: 3 year Degree in Science with Chemistry with Physics and Maths as one of the subjects.

Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD/CAM (PD-PMD with CAD/CAM)

Duration: 1½ years (3 semesters)
Minimum Age: 17 years*
Entry qualification: 3 year Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics Technology, Tool/Production/Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Tool & Die Making, DPMT/DPT (CIPET)

Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
Minimum age: 15 years*
Entry qualification: 10th pass with 35% marks or 10th appeared and expecting result.

Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT)*
Course code: DPT
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
Minimum age: 15 years*
Entry qualification: 10th pass with 35% marks or 10th appeared and expecting result.

*Minimum age limit will be calculated as on July 31, 2018.
