Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts a State Level Entrance Test (HPCET 2017) invites application from the candidates interested to seek admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda), M.Pharmacy, MCA and MBA Programmes for the session 2017-18.

Courses Offered:

UG: B.Tech, B.Pharma (Allopathy & Ayurveda)
PG: MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharma

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case for candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

B.Pharm: Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam conducted by the respective State/Central Govt. authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 exam by the Association of Indian University (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually. However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms based schools such as National Institute of Open Schooling; open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy Course. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st Dec.-2017 of the year of admission to the course.

B.Pharm (Ayurveda): The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Date of Availability of HPCET Application Form: 02nd March 2017
HPCET 2017 Exam Date:
i. For B.Tech (Direct Entry)/B.Pharmacy & B.Pharm (Ayurveda)/M.Tech/M.Pharmacy: 13th May 2017
ii. For MBA/MCA: 14th May 2017
HPCET 2017 Result Date: 27th May 2017

Exam Pattern:

i. HPCET-2017 Entrance Test for different programmes/courses will be conducted in the May 2017

ii. The Entrance Test for each course shall be conducted in Single Offline (Pen & Paper Based Test) Mode

iii. All questions shall be objective type (multiple-choice questions); each question with choice of four-answers

iv. The candidate will have to choose one correct answer only. Each correct answer fetches 2 (two) marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 0.5 mark

v. No marks shall be awarded for questions not attempted

Exam Centres: Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Chamba, Dharmashala, Hamirpur, Kullu, Nurpur, Mandi, Shimla, Nahan, Solan, Una, Palampur, Paonta Sahib, Nalagarh, Jammu, Imphal and Gangtok.
