Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST-2017) for B.Tech aspirants. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPUNEST-2017. LPUNEST was started in 2009 and became one of the largest entrance tests in India just in 7 years with approximately 3 lakh students registering for the test in 2014. Registrations for LPUNEST-2017 begin from 1st Week of November 2016 onwards. The Test will be conducted in online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed) as per the schedule.
This test will have twofold advantage as it will act as Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test.
Entrance Test: LPUNEST-2017 will provide a gateway to all engineering programmes in LPU and will act as Entrance test for admission in Engineering Programmes at LPU.
Extensive Scholarship: LPU envisages to usher an era of accessible and affordable quality higher education to the youth of our country, as on the basis of LPUNEST-2017 score, the university intends to award extensive Scholarship upto Rs.6.5 Lac per student.

Result for Eligibilty: 1 day after the conduct of exam

Eligibility:
Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST-2017
Qualifying Examination: Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2017, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main).
OR
In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.
* For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.) and Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - M.Tech.
Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remaining same as above.
* For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum)
Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remaining same as above.
*For B.Tech. (ME- Agriculture Engineering)
Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English OR 10+2 (Agriculture); other things remaining same as above.
Question Paper Pattern:
The test duration is of 150 minutes (2 hrs. 30 min.) and consists of 110 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.

Applicants can opt for either English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions.
The applicant can appear for the test in English and Hindi medium as well.
Application Form:
i. Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR).
ii. Cost of LPUNEST-2017 Kit (Application Form ) is Rs.700, Application fee once paid will not be refunded.
