Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) - 2017
The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility of the Govt. of W.B. conducted by the MAKAUTWB. Test held every year for admission to the MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes offered by the Management Institutions of the State (both government and private). This test is conducted by West Bengal University of Technology on behalf of the State Government as per the guidelines framed by AICTE, in pursuance of the Supreme Court judgments on August 14, 2003 and October 31, 2002 and in terms of the policy framework laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, vide no f-17-18/2002- T.S.I. dt. October 10, 2003. Colleges/Institutes can admit students from one national level test (CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT) and the state level test (JEMAT) OR only from one national level test OR only from state level test.

ELIGIBILITY: The minimum qualification for admission to MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes is a Bachelors degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/Medical/Dental/Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities. The candidates who will appear in final examination (Graduation) to be held in 2017 may apply.
HOW TO APPLY: The application form is to be filled online after making a demand draft the details of which are to be entered in the form. Written examination fees are Rs. 600 for general category and Rs. 300 for SC/ST/OBC. The fees are to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of WBUT-JEMAT payable at Kolkata. The online application and uploading scanned self-signed photo can be made from the website http://jemat.eadmissions.net. After submitting the Application form Online, the same has to be printed, signed and sent to the University office, along with Self Attested copies of marksheets, certificates and other testimonials as well as SC/ST/OBC certificates as applicable along with the Demand Draft. The name of the applicant , the application form number and the contact number of the applicant should be written on the back of the demand draft.

TEST STRUCTURE AND ADMINISTRATION: The JEMAT written test will be an objective type examination of two hours duration consisting of three sections viz, English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be called for Group Discussion / Personal Interview (GD/PI) to be conducted by MAKAUTWB. Finally, centralized counseling is conducted at the MAKAUTWB premises wherein students are allotted colleges / universities depending on their rank in the merit list (prepared on the basis of Written Test and GD/PI).
