ACADEMICS: The five-and-a-half year program in Medicine, including a year of internship, involves both theory classes and practical sessions. Clinical exposure begins in the second year with classes conducted by clinical specialists emphasizing the relevance of the basic sciences to clinical practices. Hospital postings and field visits to public health centers aim at exposing the candidate to different scenarios in which doctors in India might find themselves, and how to go about providing the best care in all the circumstances.

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS course under general category and NRI category in Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi are informed that as per Hon’ble Supreme Court Order, the admissions to MBBS course 2017-18 are made through Common Counseling by DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi, in respect of all Deemed Universities in which MBBS course is conducted.

Please note that there is no separate Management Quota in Amrita School of Medicine, all seats are filled up on merit basis based on the NEET UG 2017 All India Rank.
