National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) created as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and management is the first Institute of its kind in the country. The Institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. During the years 2007 and 2008, Government of India established six more NIPERs as detailed below:‐

Number of Seats:
Total number of seats in each NIPER will be displayed on the website.
5% of seats shall be available for candidates sponsored by Government Departments/Research and Development Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings/Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises.
5% of total number of seats in M.B.A. (Pharm.) programmeare available for candidates who are NRIs or wards of NRIs.
Eligibility: The candidate should have passed the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale wherever grades are awarded or equivalent (Percentage of marks or CGPA so calculated will be based on the norms fixed by the concernedUni versity/Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA). It is mandatory to bring GPAT/GATE/NET scorecard at the time of counseling/Group Discussion and Interview. Further GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all programme [including M.B.A.(Pharm.)] except for the following categories of candidates.
HOW TO APPLY: Applicants shall register online on www.niper.gov.in as per instructions given on the website. The process of online registration shall comme nce on10‐05‐2017, onwards and will continue till 27‐05‐2017, 5.00 pm. Instruction for Registration is available on www.niper.gov.in website.
ONLINE ENTRANCE TEST:
The on line test shall be conducted on 25‐06‐2017 at the following centres:
AHMEDABAD, BENGALURU, BHOPAL, CHENNAI, CHANDIGARH, DEHRADUN, GUWAHATI, HYDERABAD, JAIPUR, KOLKATA, LUCKNOW, MUMBAI, NAGPUR, NEW DELHI, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, PUNE.
NOTE : However, the centres may be altered if sufficient number of candidates does not register for a particular city. No TA/DA will be paid for attending test/counseling/group discussion/interview. Candidates have to make their own arrangemen t for stay during on line test /counseling /group discussion/ interview.
Admit Card:
The Admit Card can only be downloaded from the portal tentatively after logging into portal using same Application ID and password as per dates specified at NIPER website.
Admit Cards will NOT be sent by post. Bring a print‐out of the downloaded Admit Card to the examination Center along with the original and valid photo identification (NO photocopy / scanned copy/ expired ID is permitted). It may be noted that candidate may carry one of the following IDs: Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Employee Identification Card, or Ration Card.
