Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Gujarat)

The Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test (GTET) is the teaching level entrance examination, which is managed through the Board of Secondary Education Gujarat (BSEG) for teacher recruitment in State Government Schools.

There are two levels of examinations such as TET 1 for primary and TET 2 for upper primary class and all the appearing candidates must have to apply in both examinations. These are the compulsory examinations.

Gujarat TET Eligibility: There are the Eligibility Criteria of Gujarat TET paper I and paper II mentioned below for the candidates, those are going to apply in this examination.

Primary Teachers Level (I-V)

i. Applicants need to be qualified in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) is necessary with the aggregate of 45 percent marks.

ii. Appearing candidates in final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education were also eligible.

Upper Primary Teachers Level (VI-VIII)

i. Applicants must have B.Sc/ B.A. or those appearing in the final 2-year B.A. / D.Ed. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks or cleared/ appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with a score of 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed for Paper-II.

Gujarat TET Exam Pattern: The Gujarat TET includes 2 papers, Paper-I for Primary Teachers Level and Paper-II for Higher Primary Teachers Level. The duration of the examination is 90 minutes.
