J&K STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

About JKSET/LASET: The University of Jammu has been first accredited and authorized by the UGC to conduct the SLET/SET in 1999 and continued to hold the test till 2010 after which this responsibility was handed over to the University of Kashmir by the State Government. Further, The University of Jammu has once again been accredited as the Nodal Agency of the State Government to conduct the State Eligibility Test for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh (herein referred as JKSET/LASET).by the UGC vide letter no. F.7-2/97 (NET/SET) dated 19 July 2021 & vide letter no. F.7-2/97(NET/SET) dated 9 September 2021.

Assistant Professor:

It may further be specifically understood that such a candidate who qualifies the SET would only be held eligible for being appointed as Assistant Professor in the Universities/ affiliated colleges, provided he/she fulfills other academic qualifications prescribed for post of Assistant Professor by the U.G.C. and is selected by the respective Selection Committee. Unlike the NET/UGC-CSIR Combined Test the candidates who qualifies the SET is only eligible for being selected as Assistant Professor and not for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

As per UGC guidelines, after June 2002, JKSET/LASET qualified candidates shall be eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor / Lecturer only in the Universities/Colleges belonging to the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh respectively .

REVISED SCHEDULE OF EXAMINATION FOR JKSET/LASET 2022

Date of Test: 24-07-2022 (Sunday)
Availability of Admit Card on website: 12-07-2022 Onwards

JKSET/LASET 2021-22 Important Dates:

Date of Issue of notification for JK SET : 10-12-2021

Commencement of online Application : 20-12-2021

Last date for Applying Online : 20.01.2022

Availability of Editing/Correction option in the Online Application Form on the website (No requests for corrections in the Application Form shall be entertained after 24-01-2022) : 22-01-2022 to 24-01-2022

Allotment of Roll Nos and Centers/sub-centers of examination & Availability of Admit Card on website : 01-05-2022

Date of Test : 15-05-2022

Centers of Examination: There shall be three Examination centers for candidates of the respective divisions:

I. Jammu Centre : Centre Code - 1
II. Srinagar Centre : Centre Code - 2
III. Leh Centre : Centre Code – 3

EXAMINATION FEE:

General category : Rs. 1100/-
OBC-NCL and Other reserved category (RBA/ALC-IB/WUP/ PSP/ EWS-General) : Rs. 880/-
SC/ST/Transgender/ PwD with 40% disability : Rs. 660/-

MODE OF PAYMENT:

Candidate has to pay Examination Fee through Online Mode using the Payment Gateway(s) integrated to the Online Application by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking. Follow on screen instructions for payment of requisite fee.

Candidate must print the examination fee receipt generated after successful transaction for future use at the time of Form Verification.

Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will not be accepted. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Candidates should note down and preserve Order Number and Payment Reference ID for online registration of their application form.
